ABOUT NANCY

unconventional…

disruptor…

bada**…

These days I own it…ALL of it. But, it wasn’t always that way.

Maybe you feel like I did - tired of going with the flow - following convention - but self-doubt keeps you from stepping fully into your authentic self. Add to that “positive thinking” has failed to completely shift your beliefs, and maybe you feel like you’ve failed at that, too.

 I see you…I feel you…I was you.

I had some Big Accomplishments that proved I was smart enough…capable enough…good enough (professional musician, degree in Chinese Literature & Language…stint managing over $16M/year…highly sought-after fitness and nutrition instructor-trainer and gym owner…world-class triathlete…). I even had overcome times of deep self-loathing and anxiety to be in a place where I knew I was - simply - enough, enough. But, even after DECADES of “positive thinking” I had a dirty secret: while I was showing up boldly in some parts of my life, self-doubt was keeping me from stepping out of convention and into my authentic self in EVERYTHING I did.

Then, the Universe gave me a wake-up call – a cosmic 2x4 - and I realized I was tired of doing the same thing (“positive thinking”) wishing for a different result (banishing self-doubt). I decided to question the convention that says shifting our thoughts shifts belief and discovered I hadn’t failed using “positive thinking”; “positive thinking” had failed ME. I discovered the science of neurobiology that shows us self-doubt isn’t a thought, it’s a feeling. And that means working on our thinking to change it is, quite frankly, like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

#truthbomb: It’s not your fault “positive thinking” hasn’t worked; you’re simply using the wrong tool.

i spun my wheels using the wrong tool for decades.

the good news is you don’t have to.

When speaking, I share my journey from people-pleaser to unconventional bada** and inspire audiences to join me in a state of curiosity where they can question conventional approaches to improving self-worth and, instead, apply unconventional (yet science-based tools) to step into who they are meant to be.

My book, “Exiled from The Queendom: The Making of A Badass” tells my whole story – the good, the bad, and the fugly (some of it “juicy”!) – with anecdotes and specific steps I used along the way to finally throw off the shackles of being a “good girl” and step into the badass I was meant to be.

Being a badass isn’t about being defiant…it’s about stepping out of the status quo and into living, working, and playing with clarity, creativity and - most importantly - authenticity. And THAT is where our unique gifts lie.

I hope you’ll join me, because the world needs your gifts.

MY MOTTO IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE
